Ayurveda has its roots in Switzerland since 1970’s when Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the 70's established Maharishi European Research University, which receives students of Vedic Knowledge from all over the world.
Over last decade, we have seen Ayurveda gaining momentum in French speaking part of Switzerland.
Over the years with lot of efforts from many professionals, Ayurveda is now recognized as official federal diploma in alternate medicine domain. Also Ayurveda, as alternative medicine is recognized by RME and ASCA as well as many health insurers in Switzerland.

The Government of India has set up a dedicated Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) with the aim of providing impetus to these ancient healthcare systems with a targeted thrust.

Il est ainsi devenu essentiel pour nous de réunir de façon homogène les membres d’un groupe professionnel et spécialisé regardant dans une même direction.
L’association représente les intérêts des médecins ayurvédiques auprès des autorités, des assurances, de la politique et du public.
